How do I get SSH access?

If you have a VPS or Dedicated Server with us SSH access is enabled on your server by default as this is the most common way to manage a remote server (with full root access). On the other hand, most sites are hosted on shared packages (like our popular “Starter”, “Home” and “Pro” packages). If your site is hosted on a shared package and you need SSH access we can enable this on demand.

Before you can access your server using SSH you will need to request the service to be enabled. To do so please send us the SSH Access Request Form along with the required documents. We know that it is a bit annoying to go through the form, but due to security reasons we are required to do so by our upstream providers.

Also note that on shared hosting packages, your SSH credentials will be the same as the ones used for FTP access.
